Pipe Dream

Oh Baby, why you tousle my hair
You may get hurt, take care
Thank God for the precious gift
Tender fingers tingle me to lift
A spitting image of your father
We ‘re here, don’t bother
A dimple on your cheek
Without you my life ‘d ‘ve been so bleak
I never beckon the moon to bring flowers
But I know you may grow as liberal as showers
‘An upright man’, they say with an awe
‘How could you bring him up with no flaw?’
Will you make an actor non pareil?
Or be a mystery that none can unravel
‘Charisma’ attracts many under your spell
Unique is thy merit that others never excel
Neither I go soppy to wish these
Nor let me call censor to remove sleaze
‘Proud’ to be the son of mothers
Whose welcome cheers don’t down the shutters.

To Bohemian

‘T is nice that you 're on the wall
A portrait, but you smile for my call
A watch I got as a gift
From Alan Rickman for a chairlift,
‘Ridiculous on your part’, you may say
Trust me, ‘t is no child’s play
Oh, sir, Will you please change your expression?
For I don’t want to lose my impression
Here’s the Lakshman Rekha (not) to be crossed
‘I doubted if I should ever come back’ says Robert Frost
What would be if it be all brawn and no brain?
Chaos will only clutter the traffic lane
And sorry, you are the father of two plus two
And it’s time now to bid adieu
Because I trust you’ll bring a welcome change
Or how else shall we go beyond the mountain range
I shall never be telling this with a sigh
For, I’m sure you’ll bell the cat in the blink of an eye.

Mr. Monroe

An Appellate Court makes a call
Why you ask me to stand tall
No devil with you at my sight
How nice it’s you ‘re free at the site
Any business ‘ve you got here?
A question which I don’t hear
Let me call my Duke
It’s a win-win by hook or crook
A spitting image of Mr. Harlley
No message, yet from the Berkeley
No words may mirror your part
A gesture will say what’s in heart
Any business 've you got here?
Yes, don’t teach what goes here.

Helluva Vision

Don’t go eristic
To know the way
You choose to enter
Hunky-dory to know
How the gates of
Heaven bow to unlock
As your feet land on –
The sky opens the
Floodgates to sing
Encomium on thee
Seraphim and cherubim
Chant thy names
To wake up
From a deep slumber
To sprinkle thee with
Rose water and petals,
All hail Duke hail
To thee, it is
Hectic for all
To levitate in a
Perfume-filled air
Will you jump over
The wall like a puppy?
Or any parachute, you’ve
To perch on terrace?
A star in my dark sky
Reminds of a better tomorrow
Which winks at
A dawn of hope ahead of.
